Taking peak flow meter measurements is easy and does not take much time at all. The important thing is to remember to take a measurement every day.

• Fit the mouth piece into the peak flow meter.
• Stand up
• Move the indicator down the scale as far as it wil go
• Take a deep breath
• Quickly close your lips tightly around the mouthpiece
• Blow out as hard and as fast as you can
