Proposed Algorithm for Tuberculosis
Isolation
| The
tree predicts that in the presence of upper zone disease, or fever
associated with more than 10% loss of body weight, isolation for
tuberculosis should be considered unless proven otherwise. Similarly,
individuals who are HIV seropositive should be considered for isolation
if they present with fever, CD4<200 and abnormal chest x-ray. |
